ENVIRONMENT
My father died from cancer, and doctors believe it was caused by pesticides still sold in Massachusetts. This issue is personal to me, to my family, and to this community. No one should suffer from a preventable disease. Last month, the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 in favor of Bayer, Monsanto's parent company, blocking consumers from suing under state law for Roundup's failure to include cancer warnings on its labels. When the federal government won't act, states must, and Massachusetts needs to lead.

Transparency & Getting Money Out of Politics
The Massachusetts Legislature is one of the least transparent in the country, and it hasn't been audited in over a century. The federal STOCK Act bars members of Congress from trading on inside knowledge, but no such rule binds state legislators. I'm a young person who believes technology can fix what Beacon Hill has assumed must be the norm, and I lead by example. I already keep a live public calendar on my website that updates the moment I add an event, and I'll keep every official meeting and my full policy schedule public for all so YOU can hold me accountable.

Immigration
Some of my closest friends are immigrants, so this issue is personal to me. It is unacceptable that our neighbors are being pulled from their homes and our communities torn apart by federal agents. Our city was built by immigrants and immigrants still make this city function every day. Somerville has always been a place that protects its own, and I will fight to keep it that way.

EDUCATION
As a teacher and an engineer, I've seen how technology is reshaping childhood. Kids need critical thinking and social skills, not surveillance and algorithmic sorting. Every student in the 27th deserves a foundation that prepares them for the world they're inheriting, including conflict resolution, civic education rooted in where they live, and practical skills, like cooking a real meal, that schools have quietly stopped teaching.

HEALTHCARE
Having great hospitals nearby doesn't mean everyone can access them. I watched my sister spend three years being dismissed by doctors before finally being diagnosed with severe endometriosis. I was a caregiver for my father through cancer, paralysis, and death. I've seen families struggle with insurance, wait years for a diagnosis, and postpone care for financial reasons. Access to quality care shouldn't depend on your income, your background, or how hard you're able to fight for it. Our healthcare workers hold this system together, and they deserve a livable wage and safety on the job. Violence against them is unacceptable and must carry real consequences.

AI Safety
As a teacher, I've seen the earliest effects of AI up close. I once asked a student to count the apples in a photo, and instead he screenshotted it and asked a chatbot for the answer. AI is already reshaping our economy and our classrooms faster than the law can keep up. I believe we can get the benefits of this technology without surrendering our jobs, our privacy, or our ability to hold powerful corporations accountable.
